I know this pattern - because I’ve lived that exact fear, too.

I learned this the hard way.

There was a point in my business a few years back where I knew I'd outgrown my previous identity (after almost 10 years + 15K niche followers), but I thought the fix was making everything “look” better + getting "louder" about my beliefs. 

So, I invested multiple five figures into branding + messaging strategy, including hiring rebellious marketing coaches who focused on BOLD expression. 

Then I’d spend hours on content using unfiltered language inside templates that technically should've "worked"…and still get crickets.

It wasn’t landing the way it should have, because despite what I was saying - I wasn't HER yet.

At a certain point, I realized...

It wasn’t my content or my strategy.

It was me.

I still wasn’t anchored in my undeniable identity.

And *this disconnect* was the actual problem.

I’d outgrown the safer version of myself - but instead of fully stepping into my next level...

I got scared of being misunderstood, so I started micromanaging how I was being perceived.

Instead of embracing a bolder leadership position + owning the fact that I had BIG ASS goals (both career-wise + on my spiritual path), I played humble + kept it toned down, because I didn't want to be seen as braggadocious or self-indulgent. 

I was still being too careful + digestible.

And because I cared SO MUCH about integrity (especially as a practicing Buddhist with a spiritual business)...it made it even trickier.

Because I didn't want to be fake, manipulate people for views + sales or sound like those ego-maniac “gurus”, either.

So what ends up happening?

You start walking on eggshells trying to prove you're a good, kind, ethical person...while simultaneously attempting to embody your next level of unapologetic leadership (which always means certain people won't get you OR like you).  

And that’s exactly where your power dies.

Everything changed when I realized I was saying all the "right" things...but I didn’t actually feel safe embodying them yet.

My identity hadn’t caught up to the level of power I was trying to express - so I kept sabotaging my own growth as a form of self-protection. subconsciously I kept sabotaging my own growth as form of self-protection.

Closing this gap required the deeper spiritual work I'd been avoiding. 

No strategy can fix things when the woman behind it is still being filtered - or when you're afraid of the consequences of your own power.

And if you’re not willing to be misunderstood, you’ll never be undeniable.

Because if you’re not pissing anyone off… you’re not turning on the *right* people, either.

True leadership means putting real skin in the game...not expecting some "plug + play" template to solve your problem.

No matter what framework you try, if the disease to people-please is still quietly running your business...it's costing you.
